Oh Hello and welcome to the first issue of the Fish Town News!

Since this is our first issue, here’s a little info: My name is Rebekah and I’m an artist who lives in Raleigh, NC. I’ve been working on a long-term project centered around my characters Lemon Baby, Tomato Dog, Grocery Bird, and all of their friends and neighbors. Lemon Baby and her friends live in a faraway place called Fishtown. The Fishtown News covers upcoming events, news, and other fun things I want to share with you. Hope you enjoy!

NEW SHOP - We have moved our online shop over to Big Cartel! It’ll be opening tonight at 6PM EST with my newest original works, zines, greeting cards, and all of my prints. Big thank you to my husband Thomas, who is now working with me full time, for doing the bulk of the move!

FROG ZINE - I just finished up my most recent zine for my Patreon friends. It’s probably the most detailed thing I’ve worked on in while, and I’m really pleased with how it came out. It’s printed on a new silky soft paper and the interior page folds out into a 8.5x11” big frog scene! :)

Hard copies will be available in the shop tonight. I’ll also be bringing copies with me to this weekend’s End Paper event at the NCMA (Sunday 10-4).

If you’re interested in becoming a patron on Patreon, I send out my new zines to all Lemon Tier patrons. Patrons also receive another original art item- this bundle included a 3-color Tomato Dog linocut print. All patrons have access to my digital zines, sketchbook content, and other behind the scenes work! (also a 15% off shop coupon too)

COMMISSIONS - If you’ve been on the lookout for my commissions opening, I will most likely not be able to take any on for the remainder of the year. Early 2024 will likely be when I reopen them. Thanks for all your patience if you’ve been looking to get one :)
